Dear friends,
We've moved back to the valley since our last blog post, it's been far to long since we last gave an update, we've been super busy and on the road a lot, and we are very thankful to have slowed down a bit now and settled in for the winter!
This weekend will be a blessed time of gathering with family and friends and giving thanks to God for His many blessings, and we want you to know that one of the blessings for which we are grateful is the outpouring of concern and the prayers you all have lifted up on behalf of our family following the tornado that hit our community and the loss of our dear husband and father, Tom.
We hope to post again soon with a longer update, but today we wanted to take the time to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving.
Our plan today is to linger long at the table with loved ones and dear friends, to recall the many blessings poured out upon us this year, to share wonderful memories of those who've gone before us, and to thank our God for His goodness and mercy.
Happy Thanksgiving, and God bless you!
Blessings,
Sherry for the family
George Washington's Thanksgiving Proclamation
Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly implore His protection and favor; and whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint comittee, requested me to recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, jto be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness. Now, therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next, to be dovoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be.
----George Washington
Psalm 95:1-6
Oh come, let us sing to the Lord!
Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving;
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
For the Lord is the great God,And the great King above all gods.
In His hand are the deep places of the earth;
The heights of the hills are His also.
The sea is His, for He made it;
And His hands formed the dry land
Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
So nice to read you lovely posting and find all is well..

I'm so glad to hear from you. You were all very much in my prayers this past week, and I wondered how you were all doing. Of course, when we take you to a Throne of Grace, we know that our Heavenly Father knows all your needs. We don't have to..... But still, I'm glad to hear from you. Praying on, with love x
