She Said "YES"!

Good GOOD news we've been longing to share!  Our family is so happy to announce the engagement of our Jordan (my oldest son) to sweet Mallory.  He asked on April 20, 2014, a Sunday afternoon while we were visiting in their home, and SHE.SAID.YES!  And we are over the moon excited around here!
My late husband and I prayed often for the future spouse of each of our children, even before their birth, and I am SO happy to finally know the identity of Jordan's fiance and the person we've prayed for before knowing who she would be.  And I know Tom would be so very very happy for them.  We were getting to know Mallory's sweet sweet parents and their nine children before he went to be with the Lord, and he loved their entire family, as we all do!
And guess what?  There is the cutest little white farm house here on Leegacy Family Farm. It can be seen way off in the distance from our front porch. It was given a value of $0 on the realty paperwork.  And I suppose there's a reason for that.  It needs LOTS of work.  BUT, it's going to be SO cute, Lord willing, and they'd like to make it their very first home.:)
It looks like a very busy summer ahead with getting the old farmhouse fixed up before a wedding in the fall. So our family, along with Mallory's and a whole host of wonderful and talented friends and family who've volunteered, will be doing the work of restoration.  And I, for one, can't wait to see it after Mallory and Jordan have added the final touches to make the old house look like a home!
He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.  ~  Proverbs 18:22
Thanking God for His goodness and the blessings He bestows!

A wife of noble character who can find.  She is worth far more than rubies.  ~  Proverbs 31:10

"Most foundationally, marriage is the doing of God.  And ultimately, marriage is the display of God.  It displays the covenant-keeping love between Christ and His people to the world in a way that no other event or institution does.  Marriage, therefor, is not mainly about being in love.  It's mainly about telling the truth with our lives.  And staying married is not about staying in love.  It is about keeping covenant and putting the glory of Christ's covenant-keeping love on display."  John Piper

I rejoice with you and your family! What a beautiful thing and what a precious couple! May the Lord bless this marriage and the joining together of two families. The little white house will be such a wonderful home, with the love all so many going into it to fill it with the love of Jesus! I look forward to seeing what the Lord does in the coming days.

God's blessing and my prayers for Him to go before them.
